Salary: £180 - £220 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic full SEND school in Gateshead that provides specialist education for children and young people aged 5 to 20 years with a range of additional needs. The school is committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every student is supported to develop independence, confidence and the skills needed to achieve their full potential.

The school is looking to appoint a permanent ICT Teacher from 24th August. The successful ICT Teacher will deliver engaging ICT lessons to students with a range of SEND, adapting learning to meet individual needs while preparing students with valuable digital skills to support further education, employment and independent living.

The successful ICT Teacher will have:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience teaching ICT within a UK SEND setting
• Experience supporting children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
• A positive, patient and flexible approach to teaching
