Salary: £100 - £140 per day

Are you an experienced Intervention Worker with a passion for supporting young people with SEMH needs?

Do you have experience supporting students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4?

Are you resilient, patient and able to build positive relationships with young people who may find mainstream education challenging?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an alternative provision in Wakefield that supports students who are unable to access mainstream education. The provision supports young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs, providing an environment where students can receive the individual support they need to engage positively with their education.

The provision is looking to take on an Intervention Worker on a long-term basis, starting ASAP. The successful Intervention Worker will support students across KS3 and KS4, helping them engage with learning, manage their behaviour and develop positive relationships while providing consistent support tailored to their individual SEMH needs.

The successful Intervention Worker will have:

• Experience working with young people with SEMH needs
• Experience supporting KS3 and KS4 students
• Experience managing challenging behaviour effectively
• A patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A positive, proactive and adaptable attitude
