TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming school in the Sunderland area that is looking to appoint a Kitchen Assistant (Catering). The school is committed to providing a positive environment for both staff and pupils, with a supportive team that takes pride in delivering nutritious meals and maintaining excellent standards throughout the kitchen.
The school is seeking a part-time, permanent Kitchen Assistant (Catering) to start in September. The successful Kitchen Assistant (Catering) will support the preparation and serving of meals, assist with maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, follow food hygiene procedures, and work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure an efficient daily service.
The successful Kitchen Assistant (Catering) will have:
- Previous experience working as a Kitchen Assistant, Catering Assistant, or within a busy kitchen environment
- A Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable)
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- The ability to work efficiently as part of a team
- A positive, reliable, and flexible attitude
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
