Learner Support

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a wide range of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Sheffield. We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join our team for roles starting in September.

Whether you have experience supporting pupils in mainstream education or working with children with additional needs, we have opportunities available across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Successful candidates will be passionate about helping children achieve their potential, building positive relationships, and supporting teachers to create engaging and inclusive learning environments.

The Role

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, or within the classroom.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities.
• Support pupils with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD and other additional needs where required.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Help prepare classroom resources and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
• A positive, patient and nurturing approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
