TeacherActive is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Liverpool that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join their team.

This is a short-term opportunity with an immediate start, ideal for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys making a positive impact in the classroom.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help students access the curriculum, remain engaged in lessons and develop their confidence and independence. You will provide both one-to-one and small-group support where required, encourage positive behaviour and help create an inclusive classroom environment.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a secondary school setting

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)

• Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or additional learning needs (desirable)

• Confidence in supporting students across KS3 and KS4

• Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils

• Excellent communication skills and a flexible, patient and enthusiastic attitude

• A genuine passion for supporting young people with their learning and development
