Salary: £14.25 - £15.50 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream primary school based in Bristol, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant. The school is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment where children of all abilities and backgrounds are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and love of learning.

The school is looking to take on an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis, starting as soon as possible. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range, delivering phonics activities, providing additional support for children with English as an Additional Language (EAL), and helping pupils engage with the curriculum.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant or Learning Support qualification (desirable)

• Experience working with children in a mainstream primary school setting

• Experience supporting pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL) (desirable)

• A good understanding of phonics and early literacy development

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively alongside teaching staff

• A patient, caring and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning and development
