TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school based in Glastonbury (BA6), who are looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA). The school is committed to providing outstanding education for students with Specific Learning Differences (SpLD), including dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia and dysgraphia, and is recognised for its unique ethos, innovative blended learning approach and specialist support.

The school is looking to take on a full-time, temporary Learning Support Assistant (LSA) from September. The successful Learning Support Assistant (LSA) will support students aged 7 to 16 years, working on a one-to-one basis, in small groups and within the classroom to help pupils develop confidence, independence and achieve positive educational outcomes.

The successful Learning Support Assistant (LSA) will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly Specific Learning Differences (SpLD)

• A patient, supportive and encouraging approach to learning

• Strong communication and behaviour management skills

• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

• A proactive, flexible and enthusiastic attitude

• A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
