Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking for a full-time role within a nurturing SEND school this September?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Bridgwater that provides an inclusive and nurturing environment where every pupil is encouraged to flourish. The school promotes a strong sense of belonging, care and positive partnerships, supporting pupils to develop their confidence, independence and individual potential.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time Learning Support Assistant on a temporary basis from September. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work with pupils with complex medical and health-related conditions, providing personalised classroom support alongside teachers and the wider multidisciplinary team to help pupils access their education safely and confidently.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, ideally those with complex medical and health-related conditions

• Experience or a good understanding of supporting pupils with a range of additional needs

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues

• A caring, patient and compassionate approach

• A proactive attitude and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
