TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Bath, supporting pupils across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The school provides a safe, nurturing and trauma-informed environment focused on helping pupils build confidence, develop resilience and achieve positive outcomes.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant on a full-time temporary basis from September. The successful Learning Support Assistant will provide one-to-one, small group and classroom support, helping pupils engage with learning, regulate their emotions and develop positive relationships while working closely with teachers and the wider support team.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly SEMH
• Experience supporting pupils with barriers to learning and behavioural needs
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and colleagues
• A calm, patient and resilient approach to supporting learners
• A proactive, flexible and enthusiastic attitude
