TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic specialist community school in Bath that provides education for children and young people aged 4 to 19. Guided by shared values that underpin every action, decision and relationship, the school delivers a holistic curriculum through pre-formal, semi-formal and formal learning pathways, complemented by specialist therapeutic facilities, including a hydrotherapy pool, alongside dedicated family and behavioural support.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time temporary Learning Support Assistant from September. This temporary Learning Support Assistant role will involve supporting pupils across a range of ages and abilities, working closely with teaching staff to provide tailored classroom support, promote independence and help every student access learning within a nurturing and inclusive environment. This is a temporary position with full-time hours.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND in a school or care setting
• A patient, caring and flexible approach to supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• A proactive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
• A genuine passion for helping children and young people achieve their potential
