Salary: £14.25 - £15.50 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist co-educational day school near Weston-super-Mare, supporting learners with special educational needs and a particular focus on Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The school provides a supportive environment where primary-aged pupils can develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The school is looking to take on a Learning Support Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis, Monday to Friday, with an immediate start. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with primary-aged pupils, providing consistent classroom support, helping pupils engage with learning and supporting them to manage their individual SEMH and SEND needs.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND / SEN
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs
• Confidence working with primary-aged pupils
• A full UK driving licence and access to transport
• A patient, resilient and supportive approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
