Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND setting in Tunbridge Wells that supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including PMLD and ASD. The setting is looking for a confident and caring SEND Learning Support Assistant who can build positive relationships and provide consistent support.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Learning Support Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will support pupils with their learning, personal care and social interaction, while confidently managing challenging behaviour and helping pupils engage positively throughout the school day.

The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will have:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with PMLD
  • Experience supporting children or young people with ASD / Autism
  • Confidence providing personal care
  • Experience supporting positive child interaction and engagement
  • Confidence managing challenging behaviour
  • A proactive, patient and resilient approach
