Job Title: Learning Support Assistant SEND

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming SEND primary school in Medway that is dedicated to providing a nurturing, inclusive and supportive learning environment for every child. The school places a strong emphasis on ensuring pupils feel safe, valued and encouraged to develop both academically and personally through tailored support.

The school is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant SEND on a long-term basis starting in September. The successful Learning Support Assistant SEND will support children with ASD, ADHD and PMLD, providing classroom support, assisting with personal care where required, promoting positive behaviour and helping vulnerable pupils engage confidently with their learning.

The successful Learning Support Assistant SEND will have:

• Experience working within a SEND school or educational setting
• Experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD and/or PMLD
• A compassionate, patient and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable children
• Experience supporting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Confidence providing personal care where required
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
