The Headteacher is seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic NQT / ECT Maths Teacher on a long-term basis until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate. This role is ideal for early career teachers eager to gain valuable experience in a mainstream setting.
Key Responsibilities
As a Maths Teacher, you will:
- Teach Maths across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
- Support pupils with GCSE Maths examination preparation
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
- Implement the school’s schemes of learning
- Develop effective classroom and behaviour management skills, supported by experienced colleagues
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) specialising in Maths
- Experience teaching Maths during training placements or previous roles (NQTs / ECTs are strongly encouraged to apply)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A positive, adaptable, and proactive approach to teaching
- A genuine passion for supporting pupil progress and achievement
