TeacherActive is proud to be working with a small independent nursery based in central York, who are looking to appoint a Nursery Assistant. This welcoming setting offers a supportive team environment and a fantastic forest school area, providing children with exciting opportunities to explore, learn and develop through outdoor play.

The nursery is looking to take on a dedicated Nursery Assistant on a permanent basis, starting immediately. The successful Nursery Assistant will support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS framework, helping to create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment while working closely with the wider nursery team.

The successful Nursery Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in a nursery or Early Years setting

• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS framework

• A good understanding of safeguarding and child development

• A caring, enthusiastic and positive approach to supporting young children

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a supportive team

In return for the above you can expect to receive:

• A competitive hourly rate of £14.25 - £15.00
