TeacherActive is proud to be working with a large private day nursery based in Ilkley, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Nursery Assistant. The nursery benefits from excellent resources that help create an engaging and stimulating learning environment, providing children with opportunities to explore, play and develop their confidence and independence.

The nursery is looking to appoint a dedicated Nursery Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis with an immediate start. The successful Nursery Assistant will support children throughout their Early Years development, assist with engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS and work closely with the nursery team to provide a safe, nurturing and positive environment.

The successful Nursery Assistant will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years is desirable

• Previous experience working with children in a nursery or Early Years setting is desirable

• An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS framework

• The confidence to use their own initiative and take a proactive approach to daily nursery activities

• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development

• A hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic attitude with excellent communication skills
