TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Nationwide chain of Nurseries that have sites in York, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Nursery Assistant. The Nurseries provides opportunities for children to learn and develop through engaging activities, including trips to the local park, while offering staff the chance to get involved in team events and develop their careers within Early Years.
The Nurseries are looking to take on a Nursery Assistant on a flexible, temporary basis with an immediate start and the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate. The successful Nursery Assistant will support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS, assist with daily nursery activities and help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.
The successful Nursery Assistant will have:
A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years is desirable
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or Early Years setting is desirable
A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS framework
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
The ability to adapt to different routines and use their own initiative
A positive, hardworking and enthusiastic attitude with excellent communication skills
