Nursery Practitioner – Level 2 & Level 3

Salary: £14.25 – £16.00 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of wonderful nurseries and Early Years settings across TQ2, Torquay and the surrounding areas. We're looking for passionate, reliable and enthusiastic Level 2 and Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioners to join our growing team!

Whether you're looking for a few shifts a week, regular hours or something more long-term, we have opportunities to suit your lifestyle.

What we're looking for:

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years

• Previous experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting

• Ability to drive and reliably commute to nurseries across TQ2, Torquay and surrounding areas

• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development

• A warm, caring and positive personality

• Good understanding of the EYFS framework

• Confidence working with children from babies through to preschool

• Reliability, flexibility and excellent communication skills

• Paediatric First Aid qualification (desirable but not essential)

What will you be doing?

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children's learning through fun, creative and engaging activities

• Encouraging curiosity, independence and confidence

• Creating a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment

• Supporting daily routines, including mealtimes, personal care and outdoor play

• Building positive relationships with children, parents and nursery teams

• Following safeguarding procedures and EYFS guidelines

• Working alongside nursery staff to provide high-quality childcare
