Nursery Assistant – Braintree

TeacherActive are currently recruiting for a Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive early years setting in Braintree.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and wants to develop their experience within a nursery environment. The setting provides a warm and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to learn, explore and develop through play.

The Nursery Assistant Role

As a Nursery Assistant, you will work alongside experienced nursery practitioners to support the children throughout their day.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting children with activities and learning through play
• Helping to create a safe, positive and stimulating environment
• Supporting the day-to-day care of the children
• Building positive relationships with children and staff
• Assisting the nursery team with daily routines
• Supporting children's individual needs and development

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience working with children is desirable
• A genuine passion for working with children
• A caring, patient and positive approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable and committed individuals
• A Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification is desirable but not essential for the right candidate with relevant experience

The role can offer an immediate start, although candidates who are currently working a notice period can also be considered.
