TeacherActive is recruiting a passionate Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to work with a welcoming private day nursery in Durham.

We're looking for someone who brings energy, creativity and a genuinely caring approach to their work. You'll have the opportunity to make every day different for the children you support – whether that's through messy play, stories, creative activities, sensory exploration or simply helping a little one master something new.

You'll work alongside a supportive nursery team to create exciting learning opportunities while helping children feel happy, confident and secure.

This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right Early Years Practitioner.

What will you be doing?

You’ll work closely with an experienced nursery team to create a safe, happy and stimulating environment where children can learn, explore and thrive.

You’ll help plan and deliver engaging activities, encourage communication and language development, support growing independence and celebrate children's achievements along the way.

You’ll support children at different stages of their Early Years journey and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure their individual needs are met.

What are we looking for?

• A Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent
• Previous experience working with young children in an Early Years setting
• A genuine passion for helping children learn, develop and have fun
• A warm, caring and positive personality
• Plenty of enthusiasm, creativity and energy
• A flexible, proactive and ‘can-do’ attitude
• The ability to work confidently as part of a team
