TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming nursery in Cardiff that is looking to appoint a dedicated Nursery Practitioner. This nurturing setting provides a safe, stimulating and engaging environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years, where the Welsh language plays a key role in everyday learning, making fluent Welsh essential for this position.

The nursery is looking to take on a Nursery Practitioner on a part-time basis (3 days per week) from September 2026, with long-term opportunities available for the right Nursery Practitioner. The successful Nursery Practitioner will be flexible and adaptable, supporting children across all nursery rooms from 3 months to 5 years, while delivering high-quality care and learning experiences. Applicants must be fluent Welsh speakers, as Welsh is used throughout the setting and this is an essential requirement for the role.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:

• Level 3 Childcare qualification is preferred, although Level 2 is essential
• Experience working with children within an Early Years setting
• Fluent spoken Welsh is essential and applicants must be confident communicating in Welsh
• Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
• A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work across all rooms in a busy nursery
• A warm, caring and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to get stuck in
