TeacherActive are recruiting Practical Tutors to work with further education providers across Pembrokeshire.
We’re particularly interested in hearing from professionals with experience in Welding, Motor Vehicle and practical workshop-based subjects. Whether you’re an experienced tutor or an industry professional looking to move into education, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
- Deliver engaging practical and theory-based sessions within your specialist area
- Support learners to develop hands-on technical and industry skills
- Demonstrate safe and effective workshop practices
- Plan and deliver sessions that meet learners' needs and course requirements
- Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain a safe, positive and professional learning environment
- Share industry knowledge and real-world experience with learners
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support learner achievement
What We're Looking For
✅ Strong practical experience in Welding, Motor Vehicle, Engineering or a related subject
✅ Relevant industry qualifications and/or teaching experience
✅ Strong practical and technical knowledge
✅ Experience working with or supporting young people/adult learners is desirable
✅ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✅ Strong commitment to health & safety and workshop procedures
✅ Reliable, professional and adaptable approach
✅ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
