TeacherActive is proud to partner with a range of welcoming primary schools across Nottingham. We are currently recruiting confident and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistants for flexible day-to-day assignments from September, with longer-term opportunities available for suitable candidates.
About the Role:
- Work flexibly across friendly primary schools in Nottingham
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Lead targeted interventions and small-group activities
- Adapt learning to meet pupils’ individual needs and abilities
- Promote positive behaviour and foster an engaging classroom atmosphere
- Support pupils to build confidence and achieve progress
- Choose from day-to-day or longer-term placements
- Gain valuable experience within a variety of school settings
The Successful HLTA will have:
- Recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent classroom experience
- Experience supporting and delivering lessons to primary-aged pupils
- Confidence in leading whole-class and small-group learning
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs
- Patient, enthusiastic and flexible approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Proactive attitude towards personal learning and professional development

All staff are paid on a PAYE basis, ensuring correct tax and National Insurance deductions. There are no administration fees deducted from your pay.
