Job Title: KS1 Primary School Teacher
Location: Wakefield
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £140 - £225 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcoming primary schools across Wakefield and the surrounding areas. We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable KS1 Primary School Teachers to provide day-to-day cover across a variety of school settings.
The majority of opportunities will be day-to-day supply, giving you the flexibility to choose when you work while gaining experience across different schools. Longer-term and permanent opportunities may also become available depending on individual schools' staffing requirements.
As a KS1 Primary School Teacher, you will be expected to deliver engaging lessons, follow existing planning where provided, support pupils with phonics and early reading, maintain positive behaviour and create a supportive classroom environment.
The successful KS1 Primary School Teacher will have:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – ECTs are encouraged to apply
Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
Confidence supporting phonics, early reading, literacy and numeracy
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
A flexible and adaptable approach to working across different schools
A commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupil development
