We are currently recruiting QTS-qualified Primary School Teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are looking for new teaching opportunities.

Our partner schools require teachers for a variety of bookings, ranging from emergency sickness cover and planned absences to longer-term teaching placements.

By joining TeacherActive, you will have access to different teaching opportunities across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Our aim is always to build consistency between our teachers and partner schools. Where possible, we will arrange repeat bookings at the same school, although some supply weeks may involve teaching across several different settings.

This opportunity is suitable for experienced teachers seeking flexibility, ECTs looking to develop their skills and teachers considering a return to the classroom.

The Role

As a Primary School Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering engaging lessons that support the national curriculum.
• Teaching across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 depending on your experience.
• Creating an inclusive learning environment.
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning requirements.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively.
• Following existing lesson plans for short-term cover.
• Planning, assessing and monitoring progress during longer-term placements.
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff.
• Maintaining safeguarding standards.

The Successful Primary School Teacher Will:

• Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), including ECTs with QTS.
• Have experience working within UK primary education.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of the national curriculum.
• Be confident delivering lessons to primary-aged pupils.
• Have strong behaviour management skills.
• Be flexible and comfortable working in different schools.
• Show enthusiasm for supporting children's academic and personal development.
