Primary Teacher – KS1 / KS2 | NG9
Do you want to join an excellent team where you feel supported and celebrated?
Do you love bringing KS1 / KS2 learning to life?
Are you looking for flexibility, fresh experiences and the chance to do what you love?
TeacherActive is looking for an enthusiastic KS1 / KS2 Primary Teacher to support a welcoming school in NG9. With a supportive team, an inclusive ethos and an exciting outdoor learning provision, this is a lovely opportunity to make a difference while continuing to grow as a teacher.
The school puts excellence at the heart of everyday life, from the quality of its teaching to the kindness and respect shown throughout its community. Its broad, vibrant curriculum encourages children to achieve academically, creatively and personally, with a commitment to ensuring every child feels happy, secure and included.
The work is on a flexible supply basis, with the potential to develop into a long-term role for the right teacher. Whether you’re keen to gain experience across KS1 / KS2, get to know new schools or enjoy teaching around your other commitments, supply offers the chance to keep doing what you love while finding the right fit.
What will your role include?
Delivering engaging KS1 / KS2 lessons that spark curiosity and enthusiasm.
Adapting learning to support different abilities, including pupils with SEND.
Making the most of indoor and outdoor spaces to bring learning to life.
Creating a positive classroom with clear expectations and consistent routines.
Working with colleagues to maintain continuity and share feedback on pupil progress.
What will the successful Primary Teacher bring?
You’ll hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have a sound understanding of the KS1 / KS2 curriculum, alongside the ability to turn it into lessons children want to be part of.
We’re looking for someone with warmth, enthusiasm and high expectations: a teacher who notices individual strengths, creates an inclusive classroom and brings calm, consistent behaviour management. A collaborative approach and a commitment to safeguarding are essential. You must have an Enhanced DBS, registered onto the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
Why work with TeacherActive?
We’re dedicated to finding work that suits you. We’ll take the time to understand your experience, availability and ambitions, then work hard to match you with schools where you can thrive.
You’ll benefit from:
Flexible opportunities to gain experience, meet new school teams and explore different KS1 / KS2 settings.
A dedicated consultant with access to 24/7 support, offering guidance throughout your placements.
CPD through MyProgression, so you can keep developing your knowledge and teaching practice.
Competitive rates and weekly PAYE pay.
Our refer-a-friend scheme, rewarding you for recommending fellow education professionals.
Ready to find your next classroom and do more of what you love?
