Primary Teacher – Torquay

Location: Torquay
Pay: £130–£140 per day

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to join a mainstream school in Torquay from September 2026.

The successful candidate will create engaging lessons, support pupils of varying abilities and help maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Assess and monitor pupil progress
• Create a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues and parents
• Support the school’s safeguarding and behaviour policies

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification
• Recent experience teaching in a primary school
• Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills
• A caring, adaptable and professional approach
• An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Suitable references and the right to work in the UK
