TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Derby, DE24, who are looking to appoint a dedicated EYFS Teacher. The school is seeking a confident and enthusiastic individual who can deliver high-quality early years education, promote children's independence and create an engaging environment that supports their learning and development.
The school is looking to take on an EYFS Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis from January 2027 until July 2027, working within the Early Years Foundation Stage. The successful EYFS Teacher will take on full teaching responsibilities, including planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing children's progress, maintaining a safe and stimulating classroom environment and working closely with support staff to ensure all children are making progress.
The successful EYFS Teacher will have:
Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (ECTs are welcome to apply)
Experience teaching within an EYFS setting, ideally within a mainstream primary school
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and early childhood development
Confidence planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning activities
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
A caring, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to teaching
