Early Years Teacher

Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £140 - £200 per day

TeacherActive is working with a primary school in Mansfield (NG18) that is looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teacher. The school is seeking someone who can create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where children are encouraged to explore, develop independence and build strong foundations for their future learning.

This long-term Early Years Teacher position offers the opportunity to take responsibility for planning and delivering an engaging Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. You will use creative play, continuous provision and effective scaffolding techniques to support children's development, alongside Assessment for Learning (AfL), regular observations and progress tracking against the Early Learning Goals. You will also adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils with SEND, deliver structured phonics sessions and work collaboratively with support staff to ensure every child receives the guidance they need to succeed.

The successful Early Years Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with applications welcomed from Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum, Early Learning Goals and early childhood development
• Experience or a good understanding of delivering phonics, creative play and purposeful continuous provision
• Confidence using Assessment for Learning (AfL), observations and scaffolding techniques to assess progress and adapt teaching
• Knowledge of SEND and the ability to provide inclusive, differentiated learning opportunities for children with additional needs
• A creative, nurturing and proactive approach to teaching, with strong communication and classroom management skills. Being able to drive would be advantageous
