TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream primary school based in Prescot, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive and welcoming learning environment where children are encouraged to build their confidence, develop essential skills and achieve their full potential.

The school is looking to take on a Primary Teaching Assistant from January on a full-time, long-term basis. The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will work alongside the class teacher to support pupils with their literacy and numeracy skills, assist with classroom activities and promote positive behaviour to ensure children remain engaged and motivated in their learning.

The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, Level 2 or Level 3, is desirable

• Previous experience working in a primary school or childcare setting

• Confidence supporting pupils with literacy and numeracy activities

• Positive classroom management skills and the ability to encourage good behaviour

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively alongside teaching staff

• A patient, enthusiastic and caring approach with a genuine passion for helping children learn and develop
