Primary Teaching Assistant

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School in Leeds who are looking to appoint a Primary Teaching Assistant. The school provides a welcoming and supportive learning environment where children are encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The school is looking for an enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to provide day-to-day cover with an Immediate Start. The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will support children across Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS and Key Stage 1 / KS1, assisting with classroom activities, working with individuals and small groups and supporting the class teacher with pupils' learning and development.

The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant or childcare qualification is desirable
• Experience supporting children across EYFS and KS1
• Experience working within a primary school or Early Years setting
• A good understanding of supporting children's learning and development
• Strong communication skills
• A patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach
