TeacherActive is proud to be working with a supportive 11–18 secondary school in Oxfordshire, who are seeking an experienced Psychology Teacher to join their Social Sciences provision from October Half Term.
The school provides an inclusive and ambitious learning environment with a strong focus on high-quality teaching, academic achievement and developing confident, independent learners. Staff are encouraged to work collaboratively, share effective teaching practice and provide students with engaging and challenging learning opportunities.
Psychology is an established part of the curriculum, taught across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, making this an excellent opportunity for a subject specialist looking to teach Psychology through to A-Level.
The successful Psychology Teacher will deliver engaging lessons that encourage students to explore human behaviour, critically evaluate psychological theories and research, and develop their understanding of research methods and the application of Psychology to real-life situations.
The successful Psychology Teacher will have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification
• Strong subject knowledge within Psychology
• Experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level Psychology
• Confidence delivering psychological theories, studies and research methods
• The ability to develop students' analytical and critical evaluation skills
• Excellent classroom management skills
• A commitment to delivering consistently high standards of teaching and learning
• The ability to quickly build positive relationships with students and colleagues
