Job Title: SEND Teacher
Location: Bridgwater
Start Date: October Half Term
Salary: £34,069 to £46,940 per year plus a standard SEN Allowance £727 - £3,600 per annum

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming specialist school in Bridgwater, supporting children and young people aged 4 to 19, with Autism / ASD being the primary need. The school offers a fantastic modern environment, including a swimming pool, sensory rooms, trampoline room, soft play room and on-site parking, as well as goats and a sheep which pupils can interact with as part of their learning and development.

The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teacher on a full-time, permanent basis from October half term. The successful SEND Teacher will support pupils across different age groups, adapting teaching to individual needs while encouraging learning, development, independence and engagement throughout the school day.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS
• Experience teaching or supporting children and young people with additional needs, particularly Autism / ASD
• Confidence working with pupils across a wide age range from 4 to 19
• Strong classroom management and the ability to adapt teaching to individual needs
• A patient, caring and supportive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
