Salary: £145 - £245 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist education setting in Yeovil supporting pupils from Years 1 to 8 who are unable to access mainstream education due to medical, mental health or vulnerable learning needs. The setting focuses on building strong relationships and providing a safe, supportive environment, recognising that meaningful learning happens when children feel secure.

The setting is looking to appoint a SEND Teacher ASAP on a full-time, temporary basis. The successful SEND Teacher will plan and deliver adapted lessons, support pupils' individual learning needs and work closely with support staff to provide a consistent approach that encourages engagement, progress and positive relationships with education.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS / Qualified Teacher Status (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching children or young people with SEND or additional learning needs
• Experience adapting and differentiating lessons to meet individual learning needs
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to build positive and professional relationships with vulnerable pupils
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching
