TeacherActive is proud to be working with several mainstream secondary schools based in and around the Wakefield area, who are looking to appoint a dedicated RE Teacher to support students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The schools provide a mainstream learning environment where students with a range of abilities and additional learning needs are supported to access the secondary curriculum and develop their understanding of different religions, beliefs and values.
The schools are looking to take on an enthusiastic RE Teacher for day-to-day or long-term work, with an immediate start available. The successful RE Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging Religious Education lessons, supporting students with GCSE and A Level preparation, adapting learning activities to meet SEND needs and maintaining effective classroom management.
The successful RE Teacher will have:
A PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status / QTS or relevant teaching qualifications
Experience teaching Religious Education across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4 in a UK secondary school
Strong subject knowledge and experience supporting students with GCSE and A Level Religious Education
Experience adapting teaching and learning to support students with SEND
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
