Salary: £172.98 per day to M6 pay scale (dependent on responsibilities)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a community-focused secondary school in Mountain Ash to recruit an RE Teacher. The school is committed to supporting every learner to reach their full potential and has a dedicated leadership team, while recognising that staff must be resilient in managing a challenging behaviour environment.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time RE Teacher from September on a long-term basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the successful RE Teacher. The successful RE Teacher will deliver engaging Religious Education lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, promote positive learning outcomes and establish high expectations through effective classroom and behaviour management.

The successful RE Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Religious Education specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching Religious Education up to Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A resilient, positive and adaptable approach to teaching
