The Humanities Directorate is a supportive and collaborative team with a broad curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, offering exciting co-curricular opportunities through a wide range of educational trips while placing staff development and wellbeing at the heart of the school.
The school is looking to appoint a Religious Studies Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis for a one-year contract starting in September. The successful Religious Studies Teacher will teach Religious Education across KS3, KS4 and KS5, deliver high-quality lessons, assess and monitor student progress, contribute positively to departmental development and take responsibility for leading KS3 Religious Education through a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR).
The successful Religious Studies Teacher will have:
- QTS with a Religious Education or Humanities specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
- Experience teaching Religious Education across KS3, KS4 and KS5
- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and inspiring lessons
- Strong classroom management and assessment skills with a focus on improving student outcomes
- The ability to contribute positively to departmental development and build strong professional relationships
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach with a commitment to raising achievement
