TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Secondary School based in Manchester, who are looking to appoint a Science Technician. The school is looking for an organised and proactive individual who can provide effective support within the Science department.

The school is looking to take on a Science Technician on a full-time, long-term basis, supporting practical Science lessons across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The successful Science Technician will be responsible for preparing practical equipment and resources, cleaning and putting equipment away following experiments, and ensuring resources are organised and ready for the next class.

The successful Science Technician will have:

• Experience working within a school Science department or laboratory environment
• Experience preparing equipment and resources for practical Science lessons
• Good knowledge of laboratory health and safety procedures
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• A proactive and reliable approach to work
• The ability to work effectively as part of a Science department
