TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Leeds, who are looking to appoint a committed Secondary Learning Support Assistant. The school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop confidence, resilience and a passion for learning.
The school is looking to take on a Secondary Learning Support Assistant on a long-term basis from September. The successful Secondary Learning Support Assistant will work across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, assisting teachers during lessons and helping to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
The successful Secondary Learning Support Assistant will have:
Experience supporting students within a UK secondary school
Experience working across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
A patient, caring and adaptable approach
A passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential
