SEMH LSA

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming SEMH provision in Bradford that is dedicated to supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. The provision offers a nurturing and structured environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, resilience and the skills they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

The provision is looking to appoint an SEMH LSA on a day-to-day basis from September. The successful SEMH LSA will support pupils with SEMH needs throughout the school day, working closely with teaching staff to promote positive behaviour, encourage engagement in learning and provide tailored support that enables every pupil to reach their full potential.

The successful SEMH LSA will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs within a UK school or educational setting
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
