Salary: £120 - £150 per day

Do you have experience leading nurture groups and using trauma-informed and nurture-based approaches?

Can you build strong, trusting relationships with children and families while supporting both their emotional and academic development?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist school in Lichfield that provides educational and pastoral support for primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs. The setting offers a supportive, compassionate and collaborative environment, with a strong focus on nurture, inclusion and helping pupils achieve positive outcomes.

The school is looking to take on a Nurture Teacher on a temp to perm basis, leading a small nurture environment while also working alongside the onsite team and outreach provision. The successful Nurture Teacher will deliver personalised and engaging learning, support pupils' emotional and academic development, and work closely with children and their families across both school and outreach settings.

The successful Nurture Teacher will have:

• QTS
• A recognised nurture qualification
• Experience of leading nurture groups and supporting pupils with SEMH needs
• A strong understanding of trauma-informed and nurture-based approaches
• The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children and families
• A calm, flexible and solution-focused approach
