TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Plymouth supporting children and young people aged 4 to 19 with severe learning difficulties. The school provides a nurturing, inclusive environment where every learner is encouraged to achieve their full potential through personalised learning and a strong focus on independence.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time Class Teacher on a temporary basis with an ASAP start.

The successful Class Teacher will have:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience working with children and young people with SEND, particularly severe learning difficulties
• Strong knowledge of adapting lessons and creating Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Excellent classroom management and positive behaviour support strategies
• The ability to work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents and external professionals
• A caring, patient and proactive approach to supporting pupils with additional needs
