Location: Castle Bromwich
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £95 - £115 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND setting in Castle Bromwich supporting around 100 pupils aged 5-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The setting provides a structured and supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, resilience and engagement with learning.
The setting is looking to appoint SEN Teaching Assistants for day-to-day opportunities, with the potential to move into a long-term position. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will support pupils across primary and secondary age groups, provide individual and classroom support and use a consistent approach to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
Experience working with children or young people with SEND
Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs
Confidence working with pupils aged 5-16
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
The ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations
A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
