Job Title: Complex Needs Teaching Assistant
Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £92 - £95 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist school provision based in Rhondda Cynon Taf, CF37, supporting children and young people aged 3 to 19 with Complex Needs and Additional Learning Needs (ALN). The school provides a nurturing and supportive learning environment, with a strong focus on sensory learning and learning through play to encourage pupils' engagement, communication and personal development.
The school is looking to take on a proactive Complex Needs Teaching Assistant on a full-time, temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful Complex Needs Teaching Assistant will support pupils across the provision, delivering engaging sensory activities, encouraging positive interactions and providing individualised support to help children and young people access learning, develop essential life skills and achieve their full potential.
The successful Complex Needs Teaching Assistant will have:
A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable
Experience supporting children and young people with Complex Needs and Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
Experience using sensory learning activities and play-based approaches
A good understanding of communication difficulties and individual learning needs
A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting pupils in the classroom
A nurturing, patient and caring attitude with strong communication skills
