TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the DE11 area, who are looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting in September. The school has a strong reputation for providing excellent support to pupils with additional needs and offers a nurturing environment where both staff and children can thrive.

The school is looking for a compassionate and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small group support for KS2 pupils with ADHD and challenging behaviour. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement behaviour strategies, promote engagement in learning, and help pupils develop both academically and socially. This SEND Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who is patient, proactive, and passionate about making a positive difference every day.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant or supporting children with SEND.
• A good understanding of ADHD and behaviour management strategies.
• Experience supporting pupils within KS2.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A calm, positive, and flexible approach to supporting children's learning.
