Salary: £92 - £95 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist ASD school in Cardiff supporting children aged 4-11 with a range of additional learning needs. The setting provides sensory learning opportunities and supports pupils working within pre-progression steps, helping children access education at a level appropriate to their individual needs.

The school is looking to take on an ASD Teaching Assistant on a full-time, temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful ASD Teaching Assistant will support pupils with Autism / ASD and other ALN, helping with classroom activities, sensory learning, engagement and the development of independence and progression.

The successful ASD Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children with Autism / ASD or additional learning needs / ALN
• Experience working with primary-aged children is desirable
• An understanding of sensory learning and pre-progression steps
• The ability to support pupils with their individual learning and development
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
