SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Stechford
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £95 - £115 per day

Do you have experience supporting pupils with SLD, MLD, Autism or Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties?
Are you patient, resilient and confident adapting your approach to support pupils with a range of learning, communication and behavioural needs?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist school in Stechford supporting children with cognition and learning needs. Pupils have Statements of Special Educational Need or Education, Health and Care Plans, with needs including Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD, Moderate Learning Difficulties / MLD, Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties and Autism / ASD, alongside some visual or hearing impairments and associated behaviour difficulties.
The school is looking to appoint SEN Teaching Assistants on a long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will provide individual and classroom support, helping pupils access learning and develop their communication, independence and social skills while following their individual support plans.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
Experience working with children or young people with SEND
Experience supporting pupils with SLD, MLD, ASD and/or Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties
Experience working with pupils with EHCPs or Statements of Special Educational Need
Confidence supporting pupils with additional communication, sensory or behavioural needs
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
