Are you a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for a new and rewarding challenge?
Do you have a passion for supporting children with Autism to reach their full potential?
An inclusive and nurturing Primary School in Longbridge is seeking a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a delightful Year 1 pupil with Autism. This full-time, long-term role will run for the entire academic year, ensuring consistency and a strong, trusting relationship for the child.
About the Role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you’ll:
Work closely with a Year 1 pupil, providing tailored 1:1 support
✨ Follow the class teacher’s direction to deliver engaging, inclusive learning experiences
Help create a calm, positive, and safe learning environment
Build strong relationships with both the child and the wider school team
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working within Primary settings
Previous experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis, ideally with Autism
A warm, patient, and understanding nature
The ability to take direction and work collaboratively with the class teacher
Reliability, commitment, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed
