TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Hilton that is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive school environment where every day brings the chance to celebrate progress, encourage curiosity and make learning enjoyable.

The school is looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2026 until July 2027, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm during term time. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will provide dedicated 1:1 support to an EYFS child with learning difficulties, helping them access classroom activities, develop key skills and enjoy a positive and rewarding experience at school.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or higher Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience supporting children within an EYFS or primary school setting
• Experience supporting children with learning difficulties
• A patient, caring and positive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A willingness to get involved and make learning fun
