Salary: £90 - £110 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school in Salford to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant. The school supports high school aged students with a range of additional needs and is looking for an enthusiastic individual who can help pupils engage positively with their education.

The school is looking to take on an SEN Teaching Assistant on a long-term temporary basis. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will support students with a range of SEN requirements, primarily Autism / ASD and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder / ADHD, helping them access learning, remain engaged in the classroom and develop their confidence and independence.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
• Experience supporting ASD and/or ADHD is highly desirable
• Experience working with secondary school aged students is desirable
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• A positive and proactive attitude towards supporting learning
